Editorial

The development of Internet services and trading has been rapid around the world and a significant amount of research from different disciplines tries to identify the key factors for success in this area. Accordingly, the number of Internet-related articles received has been increasing, and three of these are included in this issue.

There are altogether twelve articles, which cover four major areas in the business field. Five articles are about management. These include "Knowledge breadth, path dependence and new technology investment", "The study of patient safety training programs and the motivation for training transfer in the medical industry — an empirical study in Taiwan", "The empirical study of the usage behavior of the self-service systems in convenience stores", "The relationship among transformational leadership, auditors' work values and business ethical attitudes" and "Exploration of the degree of impact of internationalization and diversification strategy on the operational performance of domestic commercial banks". One-third of the articles focus on marketing and these are "Gender attitudes on Web advertisements: A study in Taiwan", "A study of market segmentation and consumer behavior in Internet clothing surrogate shopping services", "Leisure housing corporate image, service quality, customer value and customer satisfaction" and "The study of the relationships between tourism image, tourist satisfaction and benefit evaluation of NA-men's son-jun jin". Two other articles relate more to finance: "The study of the investment situation of Taiwan, Japan, Korea and America in the Bohai economic region" and "Strategic behavior in floating rate mortgage lending". The final article, "Apply rough set theory to upgrade core e-service quality", is an e-commerce article.
